Calling Weed Warriors on September 21!

Join us on Saturday, September 21 from 9:30 am - 12:00 pm to rid Ft. Reno park of invasive vines that are endangering the trees! A group of National Park Service "Weed Warriors" will be with you!

Meeting place: Round parking area west of Deal. We will work on the trees below the salt dome on the path from the parking area to Fessenden St. and the trees along the Deal field fence line.

No prior experience needed. We'll have some pruners, loppers, and gloves on hand. Feel free to bring your own as well. Open ages 10 and above. If you are under 18 you will have to have a permission slip signed by a parent or guardian. If you have previously filled out a permission form in 2024, you do not need to provide a duplicate.

Thursday, Sept 19: Please RSVP to Courtney Bergeron (ccbergeron@hotmail.com). If you can only come for part of the time that's okay. Thanks very much for considering lending a hand to preserve the trees throughout the park! 

This activity counts toward volunteer hours needed to graduate from Deal. Kindly bring your community service form for credit recognition.
