Rainy Day Update

Happy Rainy Wednesday!

Thank you so much for your support during the first two days of school! Today's weather conditions will impact some elements of our school day.

Morning Entry

We will begin morning entry at 8:20 this morning. Students will need to be sure their cell phones are in their bags/backpacks to expedite the entry process. Additionally, students should have their bags/backpacks ready to go through the metal detector as they enter the building.

6th Graders will go to the cafeteria

7th Graders will go to the auditorium

8th Graders will go to the gym

Lunchtime

We will have to eat inside today and tomorrow. We will divide each grade in half so that fewer than 250 students are eating in the cafeteria and gallery. Students will only remove their masks when they are actively eating or drinking.

Indoor Recess

Students who are not eating will go to the auditorium. Students are encouraged to bring a book to read or something to do. Students will continue to wear masks during indoor recess.

Team Wristbands

Thank you to the ADCA for providing color-coded wristbands for our students. The wristbands are not only a symbol of team pride, but they also help us provide visual cues for students and staff. Please encourage your child to wear their Deal wristband daily.
