Principal’s Message

Good afternoon,

As we head into the Thanksgiving break, I want to express my gratitude to the entire Deal community for all you do to support our school. I continue to be humbled by the incredible devotion of our teachers and staff, and I celebrate the amazing support of our families. A special thank you to former Deal dad and President/CEO of Blye Skye Construction Company, Bryan Scottie Irving, for providing turkeys for 20 Deal families. We truly appreciate your continued generosity and support.

SEL @ Deal This Week

Tomorrow students will have an opportunity to connect self-awareness and gratitude. Students will develop a deeper awareness of their thoughts and feelings by reflecting on their experience of gratitude. Choosing to express gratitude can enhance students’ confidence and optimism. Additionally, gratitude practices can help students feel more socially competent and connected, be more satisfied with school, have better mental health and emotional well-being, and be more motivated about their future.

Grade-level Student Council Class Officers Interest Meeting

We are looking for student leaders who want to make Deal an even better school for everyone. We are starting with elections for Class Officers (President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer) for each grade level. 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who would like to run for one of these positions must attend a brief interest meeting after school on November 29 or 30 in room R113.
