Boy Scout Troop 90 Wants You!

Join the Adventure!

All boys 11 years old and up or having graduated 5th grade are invited to join Boy Scout Troop 90!

Scouting gives young people the opportunity to explore a world beyond the boundaries of everyday life and build a love for the outdoors. They get to try new things, develop friendships, provide service to others, build self-confidence, and develop leadership skills. And have fun while doing it!

Some Troop 90 activities include:

  • Earning First Aid, Emergency Preparedness, Wilderness Survival, Citizenship in the World, Nation, and Community, and many other merit badges

  • Serving the community through the Greg Gannon Food Drive and other service projects

  • Rock Climbing at Seneca Rocks, WV

  • Camping at Antietam National Battlefield, Gettysburg National Military Park, the Shenandoah River, and many other locations

  • Fishing in the Chesapeake Bay

  • Caving at Whitings Neck, WV

  • Hiking and Backpacking at the Philmont National Scout Ranch in New Mexico

  • Canoeing in the Boundary Waters of Minnesota

  • Scuba Diving at St. Croix Sea Base, VI

  • Skiing/snowboarding at Wisp and Snowshoe

We have Troop meetings Wednesday nights from 7:30 - 8:30 pm in the Blessed Sacrament Parish Center (3630 Quesada St., NW, just off Chevy Chase Circle) – along with hikes, monthly campouts, and other outdoor activities.  Our first meeting of the year will be Wednesday night, September 6th and our first campout will be in late September.  Please come by anytime and check it out.  No obligation.  No scouting experience necessary.

Come join the adventure – where the best part of reaching your goal is the journey!
