Upcoming Statewide Assessment Information

DCPS students will engage in in-person testing for a variety of required statewide assessments this spring. The first such assessment to be administered at Deal this school year is ACCESS, which will take place February 11 - March 21.  

"ACCESS for ELLs" stands for Assessing Comprehension and Communication in English State to State for English Language Learners, and it is a standardized test used to measure the English language proficiency of students identified as English Language Learners (ELLs) from Kindergarten through 12th grade.  The test is administered annually to monitor progress in acquiring academic English skills across speaking, listening, reading, and writing domains.
