The Deal Debate Team

Last month, the veteran members of the ADMS debate team attended the Washington-Arlington Catholic Forensic (WACFL) league for their first tournament of the year.  The following debaters not only ended the tournament with winning records after hard fought debates competing exclusively against high school debate teams, but they also qualified for the end-of-the-season Metro-final championships:

  • Emil Hanna—Undefeated, 2nd place

  • Adrian Hanna—Undefeated, 3rd place

  • Mina Holtzman—Undefeated, 5th place

Also of note, Isaac Wallsten, last year’s league junior varsity champion, competed in the varsity division for the first time.  As well, Immanuel Abara and Julia Serebrinsky took their first shot in the novice division having competed last year in the Washington Urban Debate League.
