Team Competition - Spirit Week and Food Drive! December 11-15
8th Grade Student Government is excited to announce our first annual spirit week and food drive, which will take place December 11-15! This year, we will be partnering with Capital Area Food Bank to ensure donations reach families in need across the DC area. For the team competition, each 8th grade team will be competing to earn extra recess! Teams will be awarded points for each student who participates in the theme of the day and also awarded points for each donation item students bring to school. Lastly, on Friday, representatives from each team will compete in "name that tune" as a celebration to end the week.
The spirit week themes are:
Monday: Jersey Day/Sports Day
Tuesday: Twin Day
Wednesday: Dress Like a Teacher/Student Day
Thursday: Throwback Day
Friday: Character/Celebrity Day
