Summer Math Acceleration Camp (SMAC) 2023 Information Meeting

Deal will offer a Summer Math Acceleration Camp for current 6th and 7th graders during summer 2023 (July 5 - 27; 8:45 am - 12:00 noon).  Eligible students will participate in an intensive course, with Deal teachers, to accelerate in mathematics. During the course, students will learn the math 7 or math 8 curriculum.

Math 7

This course is for rising 7th graders who are currently taking Math 6. Students who successfully complete the course will be placed in Math 8 in the Fall of 2023 -2024 SY.

Math 8

This course is for rising 7th or 8th graders who are currently taking Math 7. Students who successfully complete the course will be placed in Algebra I in the Fall of 2023 -2024 SY.

We will host a Virtual SMAC Information Meeting for families on Teams at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. The link for the meeting will be shared in January.
