Student Lunch for SY 23-24
Deal students do not automatically receive free lunch. Instead, they must complete the Free and Reduced Meal Application (https://dcps.dc.gov/sites/default/files/dc/sites/dcps/DCPS%20FARM%20Application%2023-24.pdf) to determine the price they must pay for lunch. Additional information regarding the Free and Reduced Price Meals is available HERE.
Breakfast will remain free to all students. If you have any questions or concerns about the Food and Nutrition program, please reach out to Ms. Dillard, Director of Strategy and Logistics, at Ebonee.Dillard@k12.dc.gov.
Students are welcome to bring lunch from home. We are not able to refrigerate nor heat student lunches. Students are not permitted to have food delivered to the school.
Student Meal Payment
Students' meal accounts function as a debit account. Families can add fund to your students' account in two ways:
Pay with a credit or debit card by creating an account at MySchoolBucks.com
Send a check or money order made payable to the DC Treasurer to the address below. The student ID must be included on the check.

When a student goes through the lunch line, they will need to give the cafeteria manager their name and student ID number. The cost of the meal is then deducted from their student meal account. If there are insufficient funds in the student's meal account, the student still receives a meal, and the student meal account will show a negative balance with the associated cost.
If a student's balance goes below zero, the student's parent/guardian will receive communication with the amount due and instructions to add funds to their student's account. There is no limit to the negative balance a student can accrue.
