Sports @ Deal
As we prepare for students to return to school later this month, I wanted to allow you to get a head start on submitting the required documentation for sports participation this school year. As with the previous year, athletic eligibility and health forms are available digitally through Seamless Docs. In addition, the sign-up form to register your child for specific sports will be available in a couple of weeks when you can specify your child's sport of choice. The sports available to students this fall will include flag football, cross country, soccer, cheerleading, and volleyball.

Please note the following:
If you cannot submit your child's athletic participation forms digitally, we will provide paper forms to you on request.
All student-athletes must have a valid, unexpired Universal Health Certificate on file, dated within 365 calendar days from the last examination.
Student-athlete must have no more than one grade of "F" in the most recently completed academic term (this does not apply to advisory one).
Submittal of eligibility documents and registration for participation on a team does not guarantee a spot on the team. Tryouts and subsequent team reductions will occur.
Once again, please keep a lookout for the forthcoming email containing the fall sports sign-up link, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
Any student athlete wishing to play tackle football has the option to play for another DCPS Middle School. Please email Coach Downing for more information.
