SMAC is Back!

We will again offer a Summer Math Acceleration Camp for rising 7th and 8th graders in July 2023. Students who are eligible will participate in a 4-week intensive math course from Monday to Thursday; 8:30 - 12:00 pm in order to accelerate in mathematics. During the four weeks, students will take an intensive dive into the curriculum of math 7 or math 8.

Week One | July 5 - 8

Week Two | July 10 - 13

Week Three | July 17 - 20

Week Four | July 24 - 27

In order to be eligible, students must achieve the required score on the Mid of Year (MOY) i-Ready Assessment which all students will take beginning January 17 through January 20. Math teachers will notify parents of eligible students by February 3, 2023. We will have a Family Interest meeting via Teams on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 6:30 pm. 

Courses to be offered:

Math 7

This course is for rising 7th graders who are currently taking Math 6. Students who successfully complete the course will be placed in Math 8 in the Fall of 2023 -2024 SY.

 Math 8

This course is for rising 7th or 8th graders who are currently taking Math 7. Students who successfully complete the course will be placed in Algebra I in the Fall of 2023 -2024 SY.
