Service Hours with Weed Warriors

Rid Ft. Reno Park of invasive vines that are endangering the trees. A group of National Park Service "Weed Warriors" will lead the way on Saturday, May 6 from 10:00 am - 12:30 pm. Meet at the edge of the round parking area on the west side of Deal. RSVP to Courtney Bergeron by Thursday, May 4. This activity counts toward volunteer hours needed to graduate from Deal, bring your community service form for us to sign.

No prior experience necessary. We'll have some pruners, loppers, and gloves on hand (feel free to bring your own as well). Anyone age 10+ is welcome. If you are under 18 you will need a permission slip signed by a parent or guardian (Note: if your students have joined us at past sessions and you have previously filled out a permission form for your children, you do not need to provide a duplicate form.)
