Congratulations MUN
Congratulations to the 10 conference attendees of the XXVIII GWCIA Conference at the George Washington University on December 2, 2023. These students were: Mary Jane Webb, Eva Gerhart, Elina Hart, Andrew Duncan, Sophie Katz, Finn O’Neill, Vivi Schell, Abby King, Amelia Fam, and Maya Karson.
Three students participated in Crisis committees, other students participated in the Greek Poleis of 422 BC, Nixon’s Campaign War Room of 1960, The Constitutional Convention of 2050, others discussed Food Insecurity and the future of the Arctic regions.
Shout out to Vivi Schell who earned a Verbal Commendation in her committee Nixon’s Campaign War Room of 1960!!
Congratulations to all students who participated with students from the DMV and even Canada and Mexico! Our students put their leadership and global citizenry into action! It was wonderful to see each of you learn, collaborate, and shine!
This was our second conference of the year, our next will be on Saturday, December 16, 2023.
Our MUN Club will have its first mini-sim on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 3:30-5:30 pm. All club students have been working hard to prepare for our mini sim on Women in Leadership. This committee will be chaired by our MUNEX team of 8th grade leaders and will be in our Multi-purpose Room. Please plan to stay the full time (normally our club finishes at 4:20 but we will need the extra hour to fit in the mini sim). Students will bring a copy of their position paper and their research.
