Calling All Filmmakers

The Anacostia Youth Film and Media Festival will be a two-day event on the weekend of May 19 and 20, 2023. This will be the first youth-directed festival in the DC Area. Students can submit for free now until April 28 on Film Freeway. Learn more here: https://www.anacostiayouthmedia.org/

The festival will be organized and held in the Anacostia Neighborhood of Washington, DC. Youth from ages 12 to 18 and residents of DC are encouraged to submit media to the film festival. The festival will be organized as a collaboration between American University students and youth from wards 7 and 8. Additionally, there will be a variety of workshops held to support youths’ interest in making videos and using social media.
