Auditions for Matilda Jr. - March 20th-24th Afterschool!

Join us! Our musical this year is Matilda Jr.  You can read more about the show here. There was also a Netflix movie of the full-length musical released in December 2022. Auditions for Matilda Jr. are coming Monday, March 20th - Friday, March 24th after school [3:30pm - 5:30pm]

Students will attend singing auditions on either Monday or Tuesday and a dance call on either Wednesday or Friday. We are leaving Thursday open for anyone who cannot make it or has questions for the creative team about the process. Need more information, email adcatheatre@gmail.com

Auditions

Monday, March 20 - Friday, March 24

3:30 - 5:30 pm

Students must report to the auditorium by 3:30 pm.  Students will not be permitted to re-enter the building.  Students will attend singing auditions on either Monday or Tuesday and a dance call on either Wednesday or Friday. 

Callbacks

Monday, March 27 - Friday, March 31

3:30 - 5:30 pm

Students must report to the auditorium by 3:30 pm. Students will not be permitted to re-enter the building. Callbacks will be for students who would like to be considered for solos, speaking roles, and featured dance ensemble. We will send out callback materials (short scenes from the show called “sides” and cuts from songs) prior to callbacks for students to prepare.

We will be casting understudies for all named roles and swings (members of the ensemble who may learn multiple tracks) for this production. Please indicate on your audition form if you would like to be considered as an understudy. Please note that understudies and swings will have the responsibility of attending all of the rehearsals for their main roles as well as select rehearsals for the role(s) they are understudying.
