ACCESS Testing Begins this Week

All Deal students who are identified as Emergent Bilingual (EL) will begin taking the WIDA ACCESS for ELs assessment this week. This four-part test is the secure assessment used by OSSE to measure growth in English proficiency and will be administered at Deal between Monday, February 13 and Friday, March 24. Students who will take ACCESS were provided an individualized letter for their family explaining the test and identifying their specific testing dates. We expect ACCESS results before the end of the school year and families will be provided a copy of their student’s scores. For questions about ACCESS testing, please contact elyse.lerum@k12.dc.gov
