SEL @ Deal This Week

Our 6th grade students have reached a milestone on our Days of Peace, Respect, and Belonging effort, and we will celebrate on Monday with a popsicle treat for our entire grade level! As we continue to accrue additional days toward our initiative, our student government officers have been polling 6th grade students to identify our next incentive. Please encourage your child to continue being kind to others and to seek help from an adult in resolving conflicts.

7th grade staff members continued to 'catch' students demonstrating kindness and respect to, and within, their school community! Dr. Cummings, Dr. Murphy, and Ms. Neal got to celebrate 15 students, and a friend of their choice, who had their tickets randomly picked from the many tickets submitted. We are hoping to give out the most tickets to-date during this upcoming week! With a focus on 'You Matter', students will discuss the impact disrespectful behaviors have on them, and what actions one can take to demonstrate that someone matters to them.
