7th Grade SEL

Last week our students in 7th grade were caught demonstrating kindness to their peers, school staff, and our school community. Ten students' tickets were randomly picked from the almost 100 kindness tickets earned for a Friday morning celebration. The 10 students were able to select a friend to join them, and together they enjoyed donuts while we celebrated their actions.

In addition, students participated in Community Circles with their peers during 1st period. The Community Circle topic for students was Being Understood - asking students what is something important to know that would help others understand them. In the coming week, students will continue to be reinforced with Kindness Tickets when they are caught demonstrating kindness, and respectful actions in the school community. The Community Circle topics for the coming week are Feeling Respected and Being Connected at school.
